Found this article in the KY Explorer printed from the old Louisville Herald Post 1930 and as this is one of my lines worth investigating. " The will of Simon Miller of Stafford County, Virginia, dated July 30, 1798, is recorded at Fredericksburg, in Book A3, page 142. We have been told, through this column, of the original Capt. Simon Miller, born in England in 1642, who came to this country in 1673, and patented land in Old Rappahannock County, and reference made to some of his children, who lived in Essex County. It is through his son, John Miller, named in his will, whose son, John, had a son, Thomas, who was Thomas, John, Richard, Nancy, Jane, and Mary Miller, about whom we have been solicitous through the weeks, and thankful to those who have contributed information There must be many descendants of these children living in Jefferson County and other counties of the state". Mary (Mollie) Miller is mine. She married James Hord. The Jane mentioned may be the wife of Thomas Hord and the mother of James Hord that married my Mary Susan Mollie Miller. Remember a story that old Simon was a father and father in law to the same person.... This also opens up checking the KY Kinfolk Column published in 1930 for any past columns. Does any person have access to the will of Simon listed July 30, 1798? I have him deceased Nov 1799 in Spotsylvania, VA. They must have been " characters" from some of my papers I had copies from the Court House.
