This John Hoffman would actually be from the First Colony, he arrived in 1714, but he moved to the Robinson River. His first wife was Anna Catherina Haeger, the daughter of Rev. Henry Haeger and Anna Friesenhagen, with whom he had 5 children. His second wife was Maria Sabina Charlotta Barbara Folg, he married her in July 1729 and they had 12 children. John Hoffman was one of the trustees of the First Colony along with Jacob Holtzclaw and John Fishback.
