Linda, my friend, you are correct in saying that we are worn out from the Reunion! I have to say that it was a smashing success and one of the best that I have ever attended or worked on! I serve as both a Trustee for the Foundation and as a Board member on the Association, and Secretary to both, and I am very glad to be working with the tireless group of people that serve with me. We had such a great representation of the First Colony, the Second Colony and The Little Fork, it was amazing and great to connect to so very many cousins! I will go into more detail later, but I encourage all of you that haven't attended one of the Reunions to do so. All of the lectures were videotaped and I'll find out how you would go about accessing them. Is there a price available for the book and the book and CD combo? I would like to order in advance, so I can get my hands on that material. If John wrote it, I have no doubt that it will be an excellent addition to my research materials. Please include the amount for shipping, too. I truly appreciate the idea of keeping the CD available, for those who could not attend the reunion. Perhaps, if others would indicate an interest in whether they would like the CD, along with the book, it would give you some idea of how many CDs would have to be made. Then, when the book comes back from the printer, they're ready to go in the mail together. I haven't seen any postings about the reunion. Would somebody like to enlighten us as to what happened? Of course, the possibility exists that a number of attendees are still travelling or, are worn out from all the activities. I'm ENVIOUS!!!! And may I thank Barb and all the others publicly? Barb's presentation on the Ashland was excellent as were Marc Wheat's presentation on where the Foundation is and where hope to go and some of the VERY EXCITING plans for celebrating our history, as Gemannan descendants as well as pioneers and inhabitants of the Germanna environs; John Blankenbaker's presentation on Tanner research (VERY instructive on looking 'outside the box' and finding ways to gather research data), and Dr. Katherine Brown's excellent presentation on the women of Germanna - what they endured, their probable life issues - so thought-provoking (and a perfect touch of humor!). I was not able to make anything but the seminars - and am thankful could make that. Thanks to all on both the Foundation and the Association leadership groups! It's a lot of labor but so obviously a labor of love for all involved.
