    2. Hi Bonnie, All of the lectures will be available on CD I'm sure via the Germanna web site. I will make sure that they are. I am particularly interested in the Urban Tanner presentation and the Women of Germanna one. Bonnie S. The bad news is that Johni Cerny, co-author of "Before Germanna" has had to cancel her appearance because she has not recovered fully from heart surgery. Instead, Marc Wheat, President of the Germanna Foundation, is going to address attendees on the future of Germanna as an organization. So this is a good time for all descendants to find out how they can get involved (or if you don't want to get involved, you can make your wishes known as to what you want from the organization). The good news is that the Saturday program will include the following: 9:00 a.m. -- Marc Wheat 10:30 a.m. - Call of the Families (this is especially fun for at least one of us who descend from more than one Germanna family-- okay, me.) It normally takes place at the official annual meeting on Sunday, but because so many Reunion attendees want to be able to SEE who is in what family earlier in the weekend, it was decided to have 2 roll-calls. - John V. Blankenbaker - the Immigrant Urban Tanner -- this lecture is the result of some research John has been doing which is of interest to more of us than just Tanner descendants, because it will show a complicated 11 year migration and illustrate the hardships that all our ancestors faced in coming to the new World. 12:00 - LUNCH 1:00 p.m. - Barbara Price -- Ashlawn Plantation and the Holtzclaw Family -- Ashlawn Plantation is going to be one of the stops on the First Colony Tour on Friday, and Barb will be speaking about the history of Ashlawn and just which person in the Holtzclaw family owned it -- she says that the truth is not necessarily what people have believed. 2:00 p.m. - Break 2:30 p.m. - Dr. Katharine Brown - A Social History of the Women of Germanna -- this is going to be social history as opposed to genealogy and it is the first time that this subject has been presented. What was it like to be a Germanna wife, mother, daughter? Katharine is a historian, Germanna travel guide, and a director at the Frontier History Museum in Staunton, VA, where visitors can see a German house of the type our ancestors lived in. 3. Are the reunion lecture CDs available yet? I've checked at Germanna site and don't find them but I wonder if they are listed separately from the other publications? Bonnie S.
