    3. The Germanna Foundation is in the process of establishing a certificate program of First Families of Fauquier to document the earliest familiies and to raise funds for programs related to the 250th Anniversary of Fauquier County next year.  We anticipate receiving a manuscript on the Germantown settlement (now in Faquier County, this is where the 1st Colony removed to in 1719-1720) from Don Tharpe in December 2008, which will be published as Germanna Record 19 to coincide with many celebrations and observances in Fauquier County in 2009.  Volunteers for this project would be welcome!  --- On Mon, 7/28/08, Gailsline@aol.com <Gailsline@aol.com> wrote: From: Gailsline@aol.com <Gailsline@aol.com> Subject: Re: [GERMANNA] Fauquier County 250th Anniversary, First Families of Fauquier To: germanna_colonies@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, July 28, 2008, 7:07 PM I haven't really been keeping up but I think there might be a society for those who were the first settlers in Fauquier. 3. There are at several "First Families." Try "America's First Families," or "First Families of Virginia." I belong to "First Families of Tennessee." One of the most prestigious is "The Society of the Cincinnati." etc, etc. J.
