Family Tree DNA allows its members to belong to more than one project. So Germanna descendants that have alreaqdy been tested under their Surname Projects can have their results posted to the Germanna DNA Project too. I am in the process of having FTDNA list my paternal aunt and a Yeager descendant of Nicholas Jager in the Germanna DNA Project. Family Tree DNA does allow you to join different groups with test results from their lab, but they do not allow you to manually enter your test results from another DNA service. Interestingly, they will give you a significant discount from even the discounted group prices for tests, if you can prove that you have submitted to a test somewhere else: Pricing for testing at FTDNA (if you have already been tested at some other commercial lab): * 12 markers $59 (savings $40) * 25 markers $89 (savings $40 + $20 = $60) * 37 markers $119 (savings $40 + $20 + $20 = $80 over incremental upgrades - or $70 over initial 37 marker order) * Note: Add $2 for domestic s/h and $4 for international s/h Ancestry on the other hand, will allow you to enter test results from another lab into their database, at no charge. Since the more test results you can compare your test result to, the better, anyone who has submitted to a test at FTDNA, should consider also entering your results at ancestry. In addition, the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation, will give you a DNA test for their project, for free. The do ask you to submit a pedigree chart of your ancestors back to at least 1850 however, which I would imagine should not be a problem for anyone on this list.
