James, I thought the same thing about one of my surnames. Found out different when I had DNA done. So, you may think you have the fact's but you may not have them. That was the one surname I thought was going to be the easy one to do because I thought I knew everything about them. LOL Another Surname information was off track and it was strange how when getting on the right track things started falling in place. I have done mtDNA and YDNA 67 markers on my brother and would be happy to give the report's here but my Wilhite's are on my father's mother's side of the family. My mtDNA is my mother's, mother's and that would not be my German side. All of my German grandparent's were from my father's side.
