    3. Don, As more documents come to light, additions and corrections should be made.  I think there is much information about the 1714 and the 1717 colonies yet to be discovered.  Unfortunately, some of the information published about the 1714 and 1717 colonies and accepted as fact cannot be substantiated.  The problem is compounded when that information continues to be published as fact because it can give the impression that all statements have been verified and no further research is needed.  This type of attitude discourages further research. Then it would seem that no one has proven anything, and since documentation has not appeared, likely are not going to! As far as the ~deaths~ go, that is theoretical too...  If it's all Theory...

    3. Yes, I do agree whole heartedly! I do understand very, very clearly your point here. Among my pet projects is Civil War Missouri. There is so much Yankee propaganda in the History Books that I am completely Disgusted with what they teach our children! Half a Truth, isn't Truth at all! -----Original Message----- From: germanna_colonies-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:germanna_colonies-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Suzanne Matson Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2009 11:02 AM To: germanna_colonies@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GERMANNA] Utterbachs in First Colony?
