IF I am understanding the test explanations at FTDNA correctly (and I may not have sibnce I am somewhat lacking sleep and very busy), since my Germanna ancestry is all on my paternal line, my DNA test will not provide (nor connect to anyone else's) information in the Germanna DNA project? However, after reading this web site test explanations, I am cautiously excited that I may be able to find a connection on a maternal line that has proven difficult. Honestly, I have not paid too much attention to the whole DNA testing for family history thing until now. Just want to participate but not seeing how I would benefit this project in any way...since it appears that a female may only be tested for the maternal direct lime connections whereas a male may be tested for connections on both lines...
