    1. Re: [GERMANNA] Can I talk now?
    2. My husband's Bledsoe family (English) have lived for most of the last century in middle Georgia; however, his ancestors lived in Culpeper, Orange, Madison, and Fauquer Counties in VA, along with my Vogt's, Barlow's, and others in those counties, and the Stover's, Brumbacks, Lionberger, Kemper, and others from Page County, VA. Another Bledsoe ancestor owned land in the Little Fork area near Culpeper, along side of other Germanna names. His grandfather moved from Franklin, GA, to middle GA about 1920, and like all of our families, others migrated west into Mississippi, Texas, and other western homes. His 5-Great Grandfather Aaron Bledsoe was founder and pastor of the North Pamunkey Baptist Church in Orange County, and due to prejudices against the Baptists vs Church of England, migrated to Georgia in the very early 1800's. Members of that family then lived in Coweta and Hurd Counties in GA until his grandfather moved farther south into middle GA, while other Bledsoes moved on west. It's interesting to read that my ancestors lived very close to my husband's ancestors. Especially interesting is that my Vogt's, Barlows, and others lived so very close to where my sister lives now, in Culpeper, VA, the very place that I have visited from my early youth. I have SO learned from my cousins and others on the Germanna line. It is amazing what tidbits are still being learned!! Sincerely, Pat Bledsoe In a message dated 2/5/2009 9:09:25 P.M.
