This post has two errors, which we have been discussing. (1) The family name of Germanna is not known. It has been assumed by some that it was "Weatherall" because all of the witnesses to John Berry's will were children of George Wetherall. However, George Wetherall had no daughter named Jemima as far as anyone can prove. Anyone who is using "Wetherall" as the maiden name of Jemima should consider deleting that from their files. (2) Indeed, Madison County, Kentucky is wrong. So is Madison County, Virginia. He died in Culpeper County, Virginia in 1779. Madison County was formed from Culpeper in 1793. His will was written on 10 MAY 1771, in which says is lives in Bromfield Parish, Culpeper County. It was proved 5 JULY 1779 and recorded in Culpeper County.
