    3. Actually, I'm thinking that it was Madison County, Virginia! Berry of Madison Co., KY. He is said to have died in 1779 or so. Madison County, Kentucky. was not formed until 1787 from Lincoln Co., KY. I have two books of abstracts of the early court records of Madison Co., KY, and the names of Berry families who show up in the indexes [indices?] of these two book by Jackie Couture do not include one John Berry.. In the index for Court Order Book A (1787-1791) there is listed one James Berry/Barry but not a John Berry. In the index for Court Order Book B (1791-1801) these Berry persons are listed: Elizabeth James - many references Thomas Will William Several counties were formed from Madison Co., Kentucky, including Garrard Co.
