A question was asked how Thomas Powell and Mary Place are related to the Wilhites(sic). Lucy Stapp, wife of John Wilhite, was the ggggrandchild of Thomas Powell and Mary Place. Thomas Powell and Mary Place had Ann Ester Powell that married Edward Coffey, their daughter Martha Patsy Coffey married Joshua Stapp Senior. Joshua Junior married Hannah Durham and had Lucy Stapp married to John Wilhite. John Wilhite and Lucy Stapp had Tobias married to Nancy Margaret Ellis. Tobias's son Norville Stapp Willhite then married Almira Jane Willhoite, d of Reynolds W and Lucy Towles. Reynold's father was Joel Wilhoit son of Tobias W born 15 July 1708 and Catherine(?)Walke. As Joel W also married a Mary Wilhite all I have to do is yodel Wilhite and believe me I am related....
