That is my line of Wilhites. Thanks, Frances In a message dated 12/28/2008 3:00:47 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, drcary@cox.net writes: I am wondering about the record of Johann Christian Wilheit's baptism in Schwaigern that Al Welch photographed on the Germanna Tour 2009. I have tried to see if I could make out the spelling, but it seems to be a too grainy to be certain. It does seem to me that it is Wilheit. However, I would like Al's opinion on this. The spelling in Schwaigern has always been reported as Willert and is reported that way on the settler's list. I am not a Wilheit descendent; however, have interest in this family as Tobias Wilheit interacted with my Martin Walck. Al if you see this, I hope you can inform us.
