I am off to Salt Lake City to dig through Franklin Co., GA books and see what tidbits I can dig up on an illigitimate THOMAS line from the 1850's that DNA tells us is related. The good news is that we know a branch of Hans Thomas family was in the area and had some dealings with the maternal line. The bad news is that there were 4 brothers and we'll probably never know which one was the father of the child. Anyway, this got me on the track of the sons of Hans Thomas -- Michael, William, Jesse, Lewis and Joel. The last two names were not used by the brother of Hans so possibly maternal names through the second wife of Hans. Just curious is any of the Germanna people used these names who might have had a daughter Sarah probably born in the 1740's or so. Then again -- they sound pretty English to me but I definitely am not an expert on early names. Needles in haystacks but never hurts to get help. Any ideas? Take care all. Marilyn
