This list has recently requested more information about the interaction and intermarriages of German and English families. I gave a presentation on this very topic to the 2003 Germanna annual reunion. Perhaps it survives in their archives, and if so, it can hopefully be retrieved and put on the Germanna web site. For purposes of my presentation, I used the 1845 Towles family lawsuit in Madison County, plus a great deal of information from my own research.
