I can help out here. Henry President Wilhite and Susan Batteral gave birth to my great-grandmother, Myrtle Ann Wilhite, and several sons (I have all that info, but won't go into it here...I can supply it later if anyone is interested). Myrtle Ann married John W. Harmon on or about 10SEP1890 (I have a copy of their marriage license). Henry President signed the license application. Myrtle Ann and John had several children, one of whom was my grandmother, Retta Marie Harmon. Retta married twice, the second time to Arthur Wake, and (among other children) had my mother, Bertha Wake (who is 92 and living, I'm going to visit her this Friday). Bertha married Amor Alvin Lorentz and had me (Madelon Redena Lorentz) and my brother. I have a picture of my grandmother (Retta) and her mother (Myrtle Ann) taken when Retta was about 15 years of age. I also have a couple of letters Myrtle Ann wrote to my mother. Myrtle Ann (who is sometimes referred to in records as 'Myrta') and John Harmon were divorced and she was remarried to a man named Davis and a man named Townsend (although there is some speculation if she and Townsend were, indeed, formally married). She and John Harmon, however, went to live with one of their sons when elderly, on a farm the son owned in Missouri. Both of them died there. They did not remarry each other as far as the family knows. I'll try to get more specific information together and send to you. My mom says Myrtle Ann was a woman far ahead of her time, that she was very independent and didn't take guff from anyone, especially a man (smile)....anyway, hope this is of some help, and I'll be happy to try and answer any specific questions you may have about the family.
