Here it is: August 11, 2010 My wife, Jo Carole Crisler Driskell*8 (Thomas Nelson*7, William Simeon*6, Thomas Jackson*5, Abel*4, Julius*3, John George*2, Theobald*1) had 8 gg-uncles who served in Company E of the 22nd Gerogia Infantry. Four were either killed, died of wounds or fever. The other four were wounded during the conflict. Our records indicate: Abel Crisler*4 (Julius*3, John George*2, Theobald*1) was born on June 6, 1808 in Madison County, Virginia. He died on April 23, 1881 in Cherokee County, Georgia. He married Anna Maxwell on March 4, 1834 in Elbert County, Georgia. They had twelve children, ten boys and two girls. Eight of the ten boys served in Company E, 22nd Georgia Infantry. They were: 1. William Julius Crisler, b. 1/23/1835, d. 5/27/1862. Died of fever at Richmond, Va. May 27, 1862. 2. Simeon Germany Crisler, b. 8/11/1836, d. 9/5/1862. Wounded at 2d Manassas, Va. Aug. 30, 1862. Died of wounds Sept. 5, 1862. 3. Thomas Jackson Crisler, b. 1/11/1838, d. 4/4/1914. Wounded in arm, necessitating amputation, at 2d Manassas, Va. Aug. 30, 1862. 4. Joseph Martin Crisler, b. 7/7/1839, d. 8/30/1862. Killed at 2d Manassas, Va. Aug. 30, 1862. 5. George Elzy Crisler, b. 2/6/1841, d. 8/5/1862. Died in Falling Creek, Va. hospital Aug. 5, 1862. 6. Isham Teasley Crisler, b. 11/26/1842, d. Aft 1894. Wounded at the Battle of Seven Pines, Virginia. 7. Benjamin Franklin Crisler, b. 1/20/1844, d. 3/3/1929. Wounded at Seven Pines, Va. May 31, 1862. Wounded and disabled at 2d Manassas, Va. Aug.30, 1862. 8. John Wesley Crisler, b. 9/16/1845, d. Aft 1894. Wounded during the Battle of Atlanta, Ga on July 29, 1864.
