Rhonda--I'm not a 1st Colony person, but we have several people that DO know about gravesites and homesteads of the 1st Colony settlers in Fauquier County and Culpeper County, and we will be having a First Colony Bus Tour at our Reunion next July that will take you to a lot of these places. You should time your trip to coincide with the Reunion, July 15-17, 2010. (For 2nd Colony people, of course we will be having a bus tour of Madison County, as well, and we expect it will include some old Madison County homesteads since local residents will be leading it.) There is also going to be a special Civil War Battlefield bus tour -- in honor of the 150th anniversaryl -- that will include some special sites on private Germanna land. I would love to be able to be there for the reunion. But right now I am going to be there in November for our anniversary. I take my trips when I can get them as we just don't know what his schedule for work will be like in July.
