My ancestry is from Gemmingen, Germany, coming in 1717, to New York, when within the year they moved to Somerset Co., New Jersey. My father, Grandfather and G-Grandfather were all born in New Jersey. I am confused as to whether I belong in Rootsweb's "Germanna Colonies" since I saw a description of the website as being rooted in Virginia- ? Our religious background is Lutheran.
