The 50,000 acre grant did not come to fruition. Also, a 30,000 application by Klug, Thomas, and others of the Robinson River Valley did not materialize. This latter case was caught up in the wars of the 1750s. Several Germanna individuals were buying land in the 1730s in the Shenandoah Valley.
