Just wondering if anyone with Culpeper Germanna families had collateral German lines who came in through PA -- I am looking for ANY info on John MARBES, husband of Eliz. Smith and found this "good" possibility. Just wondered if any other futaure Culpeper people were on this ship. Oct. 5, 1763 .To Philadelphia, PA Ship Richmond, Charles Young Husband , Captain, from Rotterdam , last from Portsmouth .--162 passengers. John Marbes -- also listed in another reference as Johan Marbes. He got some land in Culpeper in 1772 -- I need to find when this was sold.
