    3. Marilyn, Is the John Michael Schmidt/Smith in your message the same one who sailed with the Rev. Johann Caspar Stoever (Sr.) from England in 1738? (Stoever was on a fund-raising mission in Europe from 1734-1738 for the Hebron church and died at sea on the return trip. Smith accompanied him on the trip and is named in Stoever's will, which was written at sea just before he died.)
