    3. Hi Patty, I found service records for Aaron and Moses Yager, sons of John Yager and Mary Wilhoit on Footnote. They appear on Co. muster and payrolls of the 4th, 8th and 12th Virginia Regiment. It was quite exciting because previous Yager research just said they were reported to have gone off to the Revolutionary Army and were never heard from again. These regimental records show that they both died in July 1778 while serving. It appears they may have been ill as one was reported "Sick V. Forge" but the specific disease is not mentioned. More details are in the forthcoming Yager book but I encourage you to look at the records yourself.
