Hello, Everybody , great idea, but until you work out the details, how about thinking about coming to Kentucky, June 24 & 25th for the Yager/Yeager reunion, this year we will be meeting at Pine Mountain State Resort Park, in Pineville, KY, near the KY,TN,&VA border, you will find the main route west for a lot of our ancestors, that is through the Cumberland Gap, I think that the Gap, was probably the greatest migration path westward out of Va, NC,TN, with the Ohio River running a close second. We would love to have any of the Germanna descendants visit, we will welcome those that are related and those that are unrelated, it would be great just to meet people that have common thoughtsabout their family history. those that may be interested in further details, contact our Reunion Coorrdinator Theresa Craig Wilhelmy at craig [email protected] or Yeager family reunion on facebook. for those coming from the East or West I64 will connect with I75 for those traveling from the North or South. It would be an experience that many of tou would never forget, MAINLY BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE the rugged country that our ancestors had to overcome just to make it to the bluegrass region of KY where a lot of our ancestors settled before moving futher Westward., just about any family that was in Va can be founfd in KY. Especially the early settlers, for example, Hitt,Clore, Amburgey, Blankenbaker, Yager, Yeager, and many others. just something for you to think about, after all were it not for VA being so generous there would be no KY . --- On Sun, 7/25/10, Barbara <[email protected]> wrote: From: Barbara <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [GERMANNA] Randolph, Monroe, Boone Cos. and Germanna Kin To: [email protected] Date: Sunday, July 25, 2010, 8:07 PM I vote for Cary's idea. Your voice mail mentioned you finding it interesting to see Kent Brown in action as a lawyer; you should have seen his J. C. Breckinridge talk. He very much went into the lawyer mode during that and during the Q&A. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of VAUGHN YEAGER Sent: Tuesday, July 27, 2010 1:39 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GERMANNA] Randolph, Monroe, Boone Cos. and Germanna Kin Hello, Everybody , great idea, but until you work out the details, how about thinking about coming to Kentucky, June 24 & 25th for the Yager/Yeager reunion, this year we will be meeting at Pine Mountain State Resort Park, in Pineville, KY, near the KY,TN,&VA border, you will find the main route west for a lot of our ancestors, that is through the Cumberland Gap, I think that the Gap, was probably the greatest migration path westward out of Va, NC,TN, with the Ohio River running a close second. Sorry, I mis-sent an email answer to a co-worker. Sorry to confuse the issue. Don Rightmyer
Dear Vaughn-- I am fascinated by your planned Yager Reunion. Is this just Germanna Yagers or all Yagers? I do assume it is for 2011? I edit the Germanna Newsletter. Would like to put details in the newsletter. It is so unusual for me to get any information on these meetings this far ahead of time!!!!! I could conceivably get you in 4 newsetters before the event.
