I do not list a Ludwell S. HUFFMAN in my data at all, so I do not know how he fits in with my HUFFMANs of that area, if at all. He signed and dated his app on August 18, 1905. He states he was living at the time of the app in Catlett and that he was born in Fauquier County and also lived in Fauquier County 'most of of' his life and that he is age 68. So, that means he was born about 1837. He states his occupation is Farm Hand. He implies he is a widower as he states 'only once have I married' and does not list anyone as currently residing with him. In March 1918, at age 80, he reapplies for a rerating. A Dr. Douglas of Warrenton certifies he has multiple infirmities (partially paralyzed on left side, a hernia, etc.) Anyone have Ludwell in their family?
