This is an example of an exchange with another researcher.  I am sending this o n to Germanna Research  - it will make many of you smile, maybe even laugh, which is good for the soul and your health.   1844 list of voters in Audrain County Missouri shows him as Newton Berry.  From:  Barbara Berrey Stotler   Subject: Jasper Newton Berrey Hi Barb,   He is listed as Jasper N. Berrey on the 1880 Audrain co MO census.    I found him on the 1860 Audrain co MO census, dated 14 June.  But didn't find him on the 1860 Monroe co MO one.    Too many Jasper Newton Berreys.  One researcher on Ancestry has our Jasper N. Berrey as the son of Lawson & Elizabeth Somers Berrey.  This person also has ours married to Cynthia Yager & also to Hettie Evans.   Both Jasper Newton, listed as Newton are on the same year census in different counties, so they couldn't have, well, one could have been married to two different wives at the same time.  Not likely though, since the ages are different. Our Jasper Newton Berrey did marry Cynthia Yager in Ralls co MO, which makes it easy to mix up the two Newton Berreys.  But I believe Cynthia's parents were living in Ralls co MO at the time of her marriage.   Then Henry Lewis Berrey's son, James Newton is listed as Jasper N. on one census.   It's enough to make a person cry.
