    3. I somehow missed the original post, Avis. I think it is wonderful to clean up & repair cemeteries & stones and I have participated in that myself. I am going to look for the original message by you on this. I descend from Juliana (also seen as Julia Anna Blankenbaker) who married John Huffman/Hoffman. Julianna & John had a daughter, Ellen, who married Arnold Nethers. What was once known as Huffman/Hoffman mill near Old Rag Mountain (and prior to the Huffmans, was owned by an Aylor) became known as nethers mill. i have visited twice (the past two weekends). On Sunday,October 2, I had to rush back home to get ready for a wedding that afternoon. My cousin, Anne, who was up there, too, stopped on the private land where we know there is a Huffman cemetery and spoke to the owner at length. She and I will get together soon so I can learn more of what she discovered. We want to make sure it is kept nice and there are headers...if anyone knows exactly who is buried there.... also, I list one more child for Ludwig and Susannah - Hannah (b. 29 Mar 1798 & mrd Samson Weaver; Germanna Record 13 - do not know if this is erroneous info or not). My Bowen line - my dad was Lucien Walker Bowen, Jr. (though his dad spelled it Lucian), b. 30 Jun 1919 in Brandy Station, Culpeper Co., VA has some Thornton connection going back. Both his lines have multiple Germanna ancestors. I hope you don't mind - I would like to add your branch to my tree~ On Wed, Oct 12, 2011 at 3:27 PM, avis walker <awalker719@yahoo.com> wrote: > Thanks so much, your reply is heartening - and much appreciated. > The Blankenbakers, Harris', Reed and Ham families are, I think, more at > peace with their graves properly identified and marked.
