It's funny that you should bring this up, Cary, but the John Hoffman home is on our mind for the First Colony Tour in 2012. There aren't very many homes of First Colonists, John Hoffman's being one of 4 that I know of, and I think it would be very good to show that interaction. Not only with the Hoffman/Weavers, but the Holtzclaw/Thomas connection, too, and others. It just makes you wonder if the second wife of Jacob Holtzclaw, Sr., was a part of the Second Colony. So far, no research has identified her, very frustrating not to have a last name!!! However, little is discussed. Therehas yet to be tours to that place where the property adjoins. It would be agreat place for a picnic during the reunion. A picnic for both parties.Lots of cousin, but why the silence?
