Sarge: Johannes and Maria Rausch/Rouse were the original immigrants. Their son, Matthias, was born about 1723 at Spotsylvania Co. Johannes (John) received a grant of 600 acres from Lord Fairfax. He moved to the Robinson River area 28 Sep 1728. They were Members of the Hebron Church. John died about 1747 an alien as the group did not swear their allegiance until later. Matthias married Elizabeth. She may have been a Zimmerman, but I have not been able to prove it. They sat with the Zimmermans at church and their son, George, married Elizabeth Zimmerman.
