This appeared on another rootsweb list to which I subscribe. It contains a surname for a second great-grandmother!!! This is part of the brief message: If you have been waiting for a sale from Familytreedna, they have announced a 36 hour special starting today. My own suggestion: If there is already a rootsweb list for your main surname to which you subscribe, I subscribe you contact the administrator. Then make up your mind whether you want to spend the money. I submitted a sample for what is called autosomal DNA. I don't understand ALL I should, but the webmistress is quite interested in the results which I also submitted with an *ahnentafel* [German for ancestor table]. With my Dad's lineage, I have many colonial Southern ancestors, many of whom, of course intermarried. She is busy analyzing and linking my DNA with others who are already subscribers. (Of course, it is a English/Irish/Scottish/Welsh common surname!) At my age, I thought, Why not? E.W.Wallace
