I"ll try another tack -- how about no mention of them being brothers Y- DNA tests done at www.familytreedna.com from direct male lines represented here, and included in this family file, confirms that John Thomas of Guilford Co., NC and Michael Thomas of Fayette Co., KY are the same individuals as Hans Thoma born in Germany and Michael Thomas born in Virginia who obtained the original land patent in 1726 Spotsylvania Co., VA among the 2ndGermanna Colony.
