    3. HI Sarge, thanks for helping me understand the RACER/WILHITE/WILHOIT connection. I do have Paschal and Jonas and wives in my tree at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rockracer1&id=I0603 but didn't go as far as wives' grandparents. Paschal and Jonas were children of Jacob RAZOR/RACER; Paschal by his first wife, Susannah SNYDER and Jonas by Jacob's second wife, Elizabeth DELPH, both of whom were descendants of Germanna settlers. 2. Thanks John, I wonder if he was in the area of PA where his son Adam was living. Don't we wish we could get a redo on all the early Church records -- and census and courthouse etc. Sadly today, there ware some who still do not see the value of all of "these old papers". I wonder what our descendants will find from our time. Motivates me to get something permanent created with all of my "old papers" because I sure don't plan on taking them to the grave with me -- many years from now, of course. Take care. In the future, when you encounter problems at Rootsweb/Ancestry, go to http://helpdesk.rootsweb.ancestry.com/. On the right, inside a yellow box, there will be notes on any problems they're experiencing. One way to get through this problem is to input your data and click to access it; it no new window opens within 3-5 seconds, just keep clicking. Sometimes it takes many clicks to finally get to the data. That said, I can find no data that Cassandra SHOWN descended from the SCHÖNE family. Different databases give her name as Cassandra and as Katherine. Any databases with either's pedigree show a Peter SHOWN, Jr., whose father was Peter SHAUN, Sr., and whose grandfather was Nicholas SHAUN, both from MD. It is interesting, though, that SHOWN and SCHONE/SCHÖNE would be pronounced the same in America, and it IS also possible that SCHÖNE could have been written by a clerk as SHAUN. Anyone know of a member of the Virginia SCHÖNE/SCHONE family ending up in MD around 1725? Mary's g-grandfather was Johann Michael WILLHEIT, Jr., a 2nd Colony emigrant. Ann WEAVER married Paschal RACER/RASOR; Ann was sister of Margaret above, so had the same WILHITE/WILLHEIT ancestry as Ann. Jonas and Paschal were brothers and if you descend from them, you also have a WILHITE/WILHOIT/WILLHEIT ancestor. I have many, many RACER/RASOR individuals married to other 1st and 2nd Colony emigrants, but it will take some time to dig out the data. 3. I seem to remember from a Germanna Record that Michael Yeager (son of Nicholas Yeager and Susanna Wilhoite) and Elizabeth Manspeil had two sons, John (28 Nov 1750) and Samuel (28 Dec 1752) who went off to the war together and never returned... 1. [GERMANNA] Snipping Out Text When Replying

    3. At the risk of annoying users again, may I suggest that ALL of you get in the habit of "snipping" out all of the text to which you are replying except just that which is absolutely necessary to make your reply understandable? Please remember that EVERYTHING posted here is archived at Rootsweb and the more junk we leave in our posts, the more space it takes up on their servers.
