Jesse Silvanus Smith, the 5th great grandson of Jacob and Anna Margreth Otterbach Holtzclaw. He was born in 1862 in Marion Co., Arkansas and moved to Indian Territory in the late 1880's, which was the area around Tamaha, Vian, Sandtown Bottom and Sallisaw. This isn't far from Eufala, isn't that where you have ancestors? They lived there until 1920, then moved to Okemah, OK and that's where Mom was born, it's also the birthplace of Woodie Guthrie. Thanks, Jim, I'll give it a try. Kate is not my line but was the sister-in-law of Jemima Yager Moore and I have wondered if she was connected to Germanna. Some of her descendants presently live in New Mexico and Texas and that would help in the state count. Judy On Jul 23, 2010, at 1:33 PM, Jim E. Barlow wrote: > No, I don't, Judy.
