    3. Surnames of Germanna descendants currently living in Monroe and Ralls Counties in Missouri: CRIGLER, FISHBACK, ROUSE, UTTERBACK, WEAVER, and YAGER. Other surnames I have see on headstones are FINKS and YOWELL. The BERREYs trace their ancestors back to John BERREY of Virginia. I find this amazing since as of the 2000 census Monroe County had a population of 9,311 and Ralls County had a population of 9,626. 1. [GERMANNA] My Germanna Lines: KRIEGLER / CRIGLER (a 2nd Colony immigrant)
    2. Kathleen B. Simons
    3. I had such fun at the Germanna Reunion this year. I do always have a little trouble keeping all my lines straight as I have many and from both the 1st and 2nd colonies. I think that if there were an award for the attendant with the most Germanna ancestors at the reunion, I would win it or surely come close. I know when they call the families, I am up & down, up & down...my knees could hardly keep up! All my Garmanna ancestry is via both of my dad's lines. Since his lines remained in that are so long, they had more opportunity to intermarry :-) So, I have decided to take each line and make a descendant report from the immigrant to myself - to help me and to share to enable us cousins eventually. Here is the first one I just completed for KRIEGLEr/CRIGLER: Jacob RIEGLER - b. ca. 1700 presumed from Baden-Wuerttemberg, d. abt. 1734, Virginia. He married Susanna KLAAR (CLORE) before 1734 in Virginia. Nicholas CRIGLER – b. abt. 1723 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, d. ?. He married Margaret KAIFER in 1749. Abraham CRIGLER – b. 03 Jun 1771 in Culpeper County, Virginia, d. ?. He married Lydia CARPENTER 21 May 1795 in Madison County, Virginia. Jacob CRIGLER – b. 09 Mar 1796 in Culpeper County, Virginia, d. ? near Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida. He married Rebecca Anna EVERHART. Rebecca Everhart CRIGLER – b. abt. 1831 in Culpeper County, Virginia, d. 18 March 1896 in Culpeper County, Virginia. She married George Walker BOWEN abt. 1849. James William BOWEN – b. 28 May 1858 in Culpeper County, Virginia, d. 29 Apr 1918 in Brandy Station, Culpeper County, Virginia. He married Savilla NETHERS. Lucian Walker BOWEN, Sr. – b. 15 mar 1897 in Brandy Station, Culpeper County, Virginia, d. 18 Feb 1970 in Washington, D.C. He married Mollye Elizabeth PAYNE. 3. We do have Yagers, decendants of Michael-Rachel, living in New York and Maine. Wendy Yager Hallenbeck, along with her brother Stephen Yager, and sister live in and around Waterville, Maine. Their father, Kenneth Yager, left the Shenandoah Valley in the 20's for upstate New York where a large number of his family still live. Now you have Maine and New York. Good luck - Paulina Yager Campbell - Page County just across the Blue Ridge from Madison County and the Robinson River area. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Virginia Nuta" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2010 9:35 AM Subject: Re: [GERMANNA] States of Germanna > We are up to a list of Germanna descendants living in 40 states plus the > District of Columbia.
