    3. This sounds very interesting..... I think I am descendent of Germanna, but have been blocked for many years, by not being able to find the parents of George W. Yager, born in Lancaster Pa @1808. He was married to Barbara Carpenter I believe her father was Andrew (Andreas) Carpenter (Zimmerman) of the same location. I also am a descendant of Christopher Barlow/Parlur and have Fisher ancestors as well. One idea that I have but have not had time to pursue yet is to organize a Germanna Foundation research trip to Salt Lake City. This could be formatted in several ways and could be open to any of our friends interested in genealogy not just to members. Given other Foundation activities and weather concerns, mid September - mid November would probably be the best time to schedule this. I actually went to SLC the weekend before Thanksgiving 2009 and practically had the Family History Library to myself. If you are interested in a potential Germanna trip to Salt Lake City please provide some feed back. Consider the following: Where would you like to stay? As close to the Family History Library as possible, within a walk of a mile or less (SLC has very long city blocks) or further away if there is a street car or scheduled shuttle to the library available? What activities would you like to see? Germanna specific seminars? How many organized meals? Tours of local sites? Transportation to the site would be on your own. Most of the downtown hotels have shuttles from the airport. Anything else ... Please let me know if you have your Germanna ancestors story where you could put together an article concerning how they migrated on west into Kentucky. 3. There are also HAGER there, although I do not know if the are Germanna descendant or not. There are WILHITE and HOLTZCLAW in Randolph County, Missouri, In fact, I gained a WILHITE step-granddaughter earlier this year. -and- There are descendants of YAGER, CLORE, BROYLES, LEATHERS, FLEISCHMANN, SCHONE, BERREY currently living in Monroe County and at least one currently living in each, Randolph and Boone County, Missouri. At one point there were UTZ in Shelby County, Missouri but I don't know if that is still the case. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Marc Wheat Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2010 9:02 PM To: Germanna Colonies Subject: Re: [GERMANNA] another descendant from MO Sounds like we need a newspaper article on the Foundation in those two counties On Jul 24, 2010, at 7:16 PM, "Judy Barklage" <[email protected]> wrote: Surnames of Germanna descendants currently living in Monroe and Ralls Counties in Missouri: CRIGLER, FISHBACK, ROUSE, UTTERBACK, WEAVER, and YAGER.
