Peanut butter is a GREAT favorite, and we've found that Indian art (southwestern US) is a winner. Many Germans are taken with the "old west", and the artifacts of the Southwest (pottery, sand paintings and the like) have been pleasers. We've also, on our last trip, taken artistic wind chimes, the kind that can be packed in flat condition (butterfly motifs, flower motifs, etc.). Picture books of your locale (available from Tourist Bureau or in book sotres) have already been mentioned, but they're good ideas. Dave Ross Denver
