Spargel is BIG in the life of Germans; Carol's dad, a truck farmer on the south Chicago city limits, raised great Spargel, as his father-in-law did before him. On our trip just past, with its being Spargel season, we had Saprgel Speisekarte handed to us everywhere we ate !! Dave
