Sometimes the list reminds me of an American Revolution redux ("The rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air.") of which some of my German ancestors were loyalists and others treasonists (then there were the ones who switched sides), depending upon which side was judging the other, but we stop short of "killing" each other.
