Does anyone know how to prepare baked tongue? I love it, just boiled, then eaten warm after peeling. Can get them at the local slaughtering plant sometimes. Got 2 a couple weeks ago, and have already fixed one-the other is in the freezer, waiting. Would love to know how to bake it--sounds really delicious. Like some of you, I can practically gag my poor non-German hubby when I fix tongue. Judy <<My mother served baked tongue sandwiches or baked tongue with dressing for lunch, also baked heart and dressing in her cafe in Indiana in the 50-60's....I think she par boiled the tongue and maybe peeled it before baking it, not too sure on that last step though. >>
