Hi, guess I'll jump in also. The Ellis Island site can be used as an index to find the microfilmed copy of the passenger list from NARA or the LDS. As a volunteer at NARA, pouring through their indexes is very time consuming. I'm very happy they are there. But the EI site can cut through a lot of that searching. The more indexes we have, the more we can find.
