I need help in identifying the chronological history in Upper Silesia KREIS (county) regions and territory boundary limits with respect to earlier years. The place of interest is the area around Drobrodzien (Guttentag) and Lubliniec (Lublinitz) during the years from 1835 through 1880. My ZAJAC family came to Panna Maria, Texas, USA about 1855 from this area. Some records for the birth of their children are found in the Drobdozien church but family records prior to 1835 seem to originate elsewhere and searches of some surrounding villages has not located another village with ZAJAC family heritage. Other persons with the ZAJAC name also immigrated to Texas about the same time although kinship between them has not been established. There Texas records exist that show these other ZAJAC people may have come from Kreis Lublinitz (Lubliniec?). Can someone please advise me on what was the chronology dates of the existence of: Kreis Guttentag and Kreis Lublinitz (Counties)? Or Landkreis (Rural-district) same area? Is It possible the Kreis existence dates of Lublinitz may also have included in their boundary the village of Guttentag and subsequently Guttentag developed its own Kreis? And then the Kreis merged again to a Landkreis? Any explanation help appreciated, thanks.
