Hi, I'm searching for an ancestor namen Hendrik Leonardus CONRADI, b. about 1756 in SAXENBURG, d. 23-9-1822 in Franeker, Netherlands. He was married to Helena Michiels van Vorsten, b. about 1761 in Groningen, Netherlands, d. 5-8-1831 in Franeker, Netherlands. The parents of Hendrik Leonardus CONRADI were Coenraad CONRADI and Anna Martha BROKENSCHUTS. There are a lot of CONRADIs, so they're hard to trace. The name could also be spelled as COENRADI, KONRADI, KOENRADI I haven't been able to trace the name BROKENSCHUTS or BROKENSCHUTZ anywhere. There is no SAXENBURG in Germany, but there is a SACHSENBURG in Sachsen, and a SACHSENBURG in Thüringen. There is a SASSENBERG in Nordrhein-Westfalen There is a SACHSENBERG in Hessen and a SACHSENBERG in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Is there anyone who can give me information on these CONRADIs and on the name BROKENSCHUTS? Can anyone give me advice which town to choose? I would presume, since Hendrik married a Dutch woman from Groningen (both a town and a province in the north of the Netherlands) and emigrated to Franeker in the province of Friesland, also in the north of Netherlands, that it is probably a town fairly close to Holland.
