Can anyone clear up some geography? According to LDS files JOHANNES JOST SCHNEIDER was born in Huttengesass 1681 (believe that ss may be German letter that looks like a B)..However, he is listed in Jones' Palatines to NY as from Haiger/Hayger, 5 km w. of Dillenburg, and is listed on a 1709 petition to leave Germany in the Nassau-Dillenburg Petitions..Would Huttengesass be way off or perhaps near Haiger/Hayger? His wife ANNA ELISBETHA MEYERT/LOHMEYER is listed as born 1682 in Langesbold, but I don't know if they mar. before or after arr in New York..appreciate any info....jerri in calif
