Hi Bernd, I looked it up in the family book I have. It looks like Freibott are 2 names. Frei and Bott. Frei Or Frey(E) Started in the year 1259 with the name Virge,1310 Vrey It comes from the German word Freiherr and Freigeboren (Baron and freeborn). Bott - Both(e) Year 1150 Bothe it is also a trade name "Bote" ( messenger) .
