In 1866 he emigrated with his father, Unknown SCHUBERT, his stepmother UNKNOWN, brothers Bernard, Frederich, 3 daughters, 1 step-daughter. 1 daughter Karoline returned to Germany in 1875. 20 Nov 1892 Charles SCHUBERT married Mattie Ruth LEWIS, born 8 Jan 1866 in Tiffin, Seneca Cnty, OH. They were married in Cherokee, Cherokee Cnty, IA. Witnesses were Germany; Frederick L. & Lettie R. Lewis / Ohio; J.W. & Harriet F.(P?) Foster
