The church records of fingen start already in 1624/1641 (with some holes) and are available at the State Archive in Wolfenbttel near Braunschweig, so if you wish I can research your ancestors there. My research fee is $ 30 per hour. The archive fee is $ 2 per day, the travelling costs are $ 3. I will do one-day-projects (abt 8 hours) and send you a report and a bill afterwards. Already in 1662 a Heinrich Schncker in Lesse got married to Ottilia Himstedt. This couple might be the ancestors of the Schnkers in fingen (Lesse is located not far from fingen). Are you already sure that Johann Heinrich Andreas Schnker from fingen who emigrated in 1847 is your ancestor? Looking forward to your reply, Jens Th.
