I have the Declaration of Intent on my great-grandfather, done in Flint, Michigan in 1860, and the only information on it was that he was forswearing allegiance to the Prince of Schwarzburg Sondershausen of whom he had been a subject. I think the content depends on the state and who took it. Some required more information than others. I guess my next step is to request the actual naturalization papers from NARA at Chicago. I hope they have them! Patricia LeBeau, stonewalled again
