Still looking for information on Zacharias Ulbricht and John, his brother , both came from Loma on der Lina Saxony Altenburg in 1851 or 1854. His father was Michael Ulbricht & mothers name was Justina Hoefler. When in Germany in 94, I saw some Ulbrichts listed in the Nuremburg telephone directory, but could not get any reply from them by mail and didn't have time to call at that time. Also a Ulbricht has a factory making nutcrackers, but no help from them. Kind of a surly bunch. Also a long distant relative named Emerick came to America in 1774 from the only place we have listed, Hesse Castle. Any information about either? I know Walter Ulbricht has a bad name, but far as I know, nothing to do with me. I served in the Navy and Army both in w/w 2, but never got to Germany. Maybe some money was coming to my Grandfather and no one there wants to admit any relative here in the U.S. ?????? [email protected]
