Hello , I just subscribed and don't know if I'm in the right place or not. I am researching Jakob Grabowski , father of Florentina Grabowski (b. 6 Jan 1842). Florentina married 20 June 1860 to Friedrich Moritz (b. 19 June 1841, Reichenberg,Ger.). This line is said to have noble connections. They immigrated to NYC Aug 1875 and settled in the mid-west. Jakob might or might not be the same Jakob Grabowski who was awarded the Polish Order of the Virtuti Militari. Anything look familiar ? Thank you, Malinda Jones
